Print and Web Design
If you are looking to take your project or business to the next level, whether that’s with a logo and business identity, a print or pdf publication, or a website, Rip It Up Chick Designs has the skills and knowledge to help you out. I have been working as a graphic designer since I graduated from the Design program at Montana State University in 1998. Over the years I’ve honed my craft on almost every type of design project out there. I’ve worked with a number of small businesses and institutions around Montana and beyond and look forward to talking to you about your next project.

Listening, Innovating, & Creating
I’ve gained skills and experience by working at a few different places throughout my design career. While working at Montana State University as the Art Director for the Publications and Graphic Department I was integral in shepherding in the new M flame logo, finalizing the type and tag line, and creating a brand toolkit that is still in use today. In 2009 I started freelancing in the Bozeman area and acquired a wide range of clients and projects. To supplement my design career from 2011-2019 I became the Art Director of Outside Bozeman magazine. While working there I was responsible for the full magazine layout, providing editorial illustrations and infographics, and internal advertising. I really enjoyed putting both my illustration and design skills to use for the seasonal magazine. Nowadays I focus on my own design and art business out of the Anaconda area.

Logos,
Icons,
& Identity
If you are in need of a new logo or business identity, you have come to the right place. I’ve created numerous logo designs over the years and can incorporate many different styles. While at Montana State University it was my responsibily to set the font type for their new logo, incorporate the tag line, and then create the color scheme that worked with the shcool’s colors. After that was all set, I worked with the marketing department to create an intensive Brand toolkit. Since then I’ve worked on many business identities, style sheets and media kits that all help keep your brand on track.
The process of creating a set of icons can be challenging, but it is usually one of my favorite type of design projects to tackle. I enjoy coming up with representative and smart graphics that match a certain style and can get the message across in a succinct way.

Infographics & More
Another favorite type of project of mine is to work on Infographics. These graphic rich posters (or flyers) are a great design tool to utilize for a variety of different uses. You can get a ton of related information across in a visual manner that makes your info much more reader friendly and appealing to your audience. I’ve worked on a number of different types of infographics and charts which you can view in the portfolio below, coming up with icons and graphics in some cases and illustrations for others. Some of the charts I’ve devoloped have similar characteristics and are included in the examples below, along with posters and book covers..
